America is a cool country, I dont think that can be argued. What can be argued is what makes it soo cool. Is it the fact that we can drive hummers and run over shit? Is it that we can pray to any god, demon, or fill in the blank we want? Or is it because all types of people can live side by side in harmony?
Considering the last one is just some dream we hold onto and never actually let happen on a large scale I will go with the hummer choice. I mean seriously racism is still around. It is subtle but no one can deny that 'everyone is a little bit racist' right?
The fact remains that it is easier to buy a hummer and run shit over than it is to live happily in a multi ethnic neighborhood. Now most people do not want hummers but how many people want peace and harmony either. Our country loves drama, be it Paris Hilton in nightvision or Britney Spear's lack of hair any where to the Iraq War of no reason or Terri Schiavo's medical condition (dead).
